After assessing damaged schools, homes, and orphanages who are partners with Hope Changes Everything, our disaster coordination efforts are now shifting toward providing safe food and fresh water to the children and families connected with HCE. We are currently pursuing a partnership with a Haitian-based non-profit to provide tractor trailers loaded with food, water, and roofing materials. The cost for 1 load with food and water is $3,500 per load. Roofing materials to repair local schools are $1,000 so far.
We have arranged for a secure staging area, have developed distribution plans, and have Haitian staff and volunteers to distribute supplies. You can help children stay in school by providing food and water to these schools and orphanages.
